A mobile phone app from Propeller Health has been updated to allow patients to access pharmacy services from CVS Pharmacy, Walmart, Kroger, and Rite Aid. Using the app’s My Pharmacy feature, patients can manage their prescription refills for asthma and COPD and locate a nearby pharmacy. Users can also select their preferred pharmacy to display in the Records section of the app. The My Pharmacy feature was initially launched with Walgreens. Greg Tracy, chief technology officer of Propeller Health, says: “We hope that creating a convenient way to refill prescriptions and locate nearby pharmacies from the Propeller app makes life easier for our users.” Propeller Health uses sensors attached to patients’ inhalers to gather information on medication use, symptom triggers, and environmental factors via the Propeller app. The information can then be shared with clinicians to offer insights into patients’ treatment plans.
