Cerner will soon have a larger presence in Dallas, Chicago, and Los Angeles markets thanks to a recent agreement with Pipeline Health. Pipeline Health is a community-based hospital ownership and management company that works to sustain hospitals that are the cornerstones of their respective communities. The company has selected Cerner technology to further improve efficiency and enhance patient care across multiple facilities nationwide. This switch to Cerner is significant, as it marks the first time all seven hospitals, 25 clinics and 12 free-standing emergency departments within the Pipeline Health network will operate on a single, connected EHR.
Implementation Timeline
Though this agreement Pipeline Health will gain access to the Cerner Millennium® EHR, including clinical, revenue cycle, ambulatory and value-based care solutions through a remote-hosted model. The EHR is designed to provide doctors and clinicians access to patient medical data across multiple venues of care, from hospitals to clinics and specialty practices. Patients across all Pipeline Health facilities will have 24/7 access to their health records through the Cerner patient portal. This tool is integrated with the EHR and serves as a secure portal between patients and their providers. Patients who sign-up through the portal can access their health records, communicate with providers through secure messaging, settle balances, update information and book or change appointments with ease.
