Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin in partnership with the Austin Blockchain Collective will explore blockchain’s potential in healthcare.
The two created the Austin Blockchain Collective Healthcare Working Group. Dell Medical School will pursue the use of blockchain technology to positively affect health and healthcare outcomes for patients.
Blockchain technology is being used in healthcare today to integrate medical records, secure personal protected information, accredit clinical providers and authenticate prescription drugs.
The Austin Blockchain Collective was created in March 2018 with nearly 140 blockchain and cryptocurrency companies in Austin.
