Arkansas Health and Wellness announced today that, following the receipt of all required regulatory approvals, its parent company Centene Corporation has completed its acquisition of QCA Health Plan Inc., and QualChoice Life and Health Insurance Company, Inc.
This transaction, effective April 1, 2019, will expand Centene’s footprint in Arkansas through its local healthcare entities Arkansas Health & Wellness and Arkansas Total Care. These organizations combined provide healthcare to over 200,000 Arkansans through their health insurance marketplace (Ambetter), Medicaid (Arkansas Total Care), and Medicare Advantage products.

QualChoice customers will continue to be served through the Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace individual market and the group segment, which serves employers of all size throughout the state of Arkansas.
