Solve.Care, a blockchain-focused startup, is teaming up with Lyft to give its users better access to healthcare options, according to cryptocurrency news website BTCManager.
By using Solve.Care’s wallet, which uses blockchain technology to automate data from patients, providers, employers and insurers into a single system, customers can request Lyft rides for health-related appointments.
The goal is to improve access to different medical transportation options for patients in nonemergency situations. Patients can then share the information with their insurance, family members and providers through the blockchain platform.
Patients have the option to schedule rides prior to their appointments, and they can pay for the ride through Solve.Care’s wallet feature. Solve.Care aims to reduce healthcare costs through blockchain.

“By partnering with Lyft, our platform will provide a more efficient and seamless experience for patients and enable payers, employers and other agencies to improve patient satisfaction through timely access to care, reduced wait times and simpler cost-sharing and access to transportation subsidies,” Solve.Care CEO Pradeep Goal told BTCManager.
Both Lyft and Solve.Care’s Care.Wallet are available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
