Leading medical group’s three South Bay locations and six providers acquired by HealthCare Partners
HealthCare Partners, a DaVita Medical Group and division of DaVita Inc., today announced that it has acquired Coastal Physicians Medical Group, located in Southern California. The group has been an affiliate of HealthCare Partners since 1996.

Coastal Physicians Medical Group is an independent physician group with three locations serving the South Bay area of metropolitan Los Angeles including the cities of San Pedro, Torrance and Carson. The medical group has six health care providers who have been providing high-quality care to South Bay area residents since the 1970s.

Coastal Physicians Medical Group is a recognized leader in clinical outcomes. According to the Medicare Star Ratings program, in 2017 the medical group achieved four stars or better (out of five) on key patient care measures such as controlling high blood pressure, osteoporosis management and breast cancer screening.
The acquisition of Coastal Physicians Medical Group closed on Dec. 1, 2018.
