Microsoft Enters Into A Partnership With Netflix

Microsoft has struck a deal with the most popular OTT streaming platform, Netflix for creating new data science learning modules, which would help in novel experimentation in artificial intelligence. The Netflix original series titled Over The Moon is the inspiration behind the new project in which the teams would develop modules that would guide learning based on the various machine learning concepts.

The tech giant would collaborate with Netflix for designing modules leveraging artificial intelligence and data science.

‘Over The Moon’ For Developing Data Science Modules

In the series “Over the Moon,” a young girl named Fei Fei developers a space rocket and reaches the moon. The popular series inspired Microsoft to create learning modules that would enable the learners to gain a basic understanding of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The company released a blog post in which the Vice President of Cloud and AI at Microsoft Charlotte Yarkoni, talked about the Explore Space with “Over the Moon” program.

Netflix commented on the new Netflix Microsoft Collaboration. 

“Netflix is excited to partner with Microsoft to bring some of the challenges of space travel that Fei Fei overcame in ‘Over The Moon’ to life with real-world technical application in this new Microsoft Learn path.”

The course would include three modules titles Plan a Moon Mission- which would use the Python Pandas library, and in this, the users would be able to plan a virtual moon mission by visualizing datasets using the general data cleansing practices.

Predict Meteor Showers with Python and VC Code would be the second module in which the users would use the machine learning models to predict meteor shower with a space-themed dataset.

The third module is named Use AI to recognize images with Azure Custom Vision. in this module, the users would learn to utilize Azure for identifying the objects based on AI.

The exciting Netflix Microsoft Collaboration project is aimed at creating awareness amongst young children and learners about artificial intelligence and machine learning. The interesting modules incorporated with a popular series would bring curiosity to young learners and help them with the concepts of data science.
