Verizon is racing ahead in the 5G competition leaving all its competitor telecom providers behind. The iPhone 12 launch today has compelled the telecom providers to expand their 5G network as all the new iPhones support the 5G. The telecom giant announced starting a countrywide 5G network on its various 4G channels. The company also expanded its millimeter-wave 5G service to fifty-five cities in the US.
Verizon 5G Nationwide Expansion Ahead of iPhone Launch
Verizon boasts of providing the fastest 5G service on earth. The Verizon CEO said that the company’s UWB 5G network shows incredible speeds that tend to go over 2 GBPS even in the areas with lesser coverage.
Verizon said that last year, there were several hindrances in deploying. They could not get large-scale equipment from the various infrastructure providers; however, the company does not have any limitations. The company is now able to provide more and more nodes from the start.

Verizon 5G To Cover 200 Million Users
While Verizon 5G boasts of the nationwide coverage, the network would cover 200 million people, and the company would be able to turn 1700MHz (n66), 850MHz (band n5), and 1900MHz (n2) bands to Verizon 5G in case the customers are not using the 4G band.
Until now, the 5G network was limited to the mm-Wave band due to which it had limited range; however, now the company would be able to provide Verizon 5G at more places and larger areas. The novel DSS 5G network would enable Verizon to offer sub-6 GHz coverage on the phones which support the networking standard.
Not Much Difference in Speed
The company would not use any additional airwaves. Thus the speeds would not be much higher than that of 4G. The transition from 4G to 5G would be swift for the users; however, the efficiency would not be drastically better. The latency would be better for sure.
