Ex-Google Cloud Chief Finance Officer Steffan Tomlinson is now onboard Confluent technologies as the CFO. Confluent, an event streaming platform, announced that Steffan Tomlinson has joined as CFO succeeding Cheryl Dalrymple, who now takes the role of Chief People Officer.
Confluent expects to roll out IPO as it raised 250 million dollars in E Round Funding this April and recently attained a valuation of around 4 billion dollars by the Coatue Management.
Tomlinson Joins Confluent as The New CFO
Before joining Confluent Tomlinson worked at Google as the CFO, he has also worked with Palo Alto Networks in the same role and capacity. The Confluent CFO comes with extensive industry experience, and he is currently a board member at the Cornerstone OnDemand and Eventbrite. With an excellent record in financial consulting and leadership, he has led many companies through the IPO, be it Palo Alto or Aruba networks.

Tomlinson said,
“What I look for in a company is the journey they’re on,” “Clearly, Confluent is a late-stage, privately held company. We look at an IPO as one step along the journey of creating value and having a durable growth model.”

Cheryl Dalrymple, the outgoing CFO of Confluent, now takes the role of Chief People Officer and Corporate Development Head at the company.

Confluent is an event streaming company that is bidding on high growth. The co-founder and the CEO of the company Jay Kreps said, “Event streaming has become a foundational part of the modern software stack, but it remains too complex for many organizations to use pervasively within their businesses,”
