The Bot is named Clara and is developed on Microsoft’s Azure Cloud technology powered with the Healthcare bot. The chatbot analyses the symptoms and underlying probability of infection by asking questions from the people. The chatbot asses the symptoms and then suggests the most appropriate action which the users need to take. It also gives them the correct information about how to manage the things it home if they are at risk of Covid-19 infection.

Clara is not a Diagnosis Tool
Clara is not a diagnostic tool but a simple chatbot, which will help the users to determine whether they need medical treatment right away or not. It helps the panic-stricken people understand the symptoms and take the precautions as recommended by the CDC. Clara helps them know the signs and recommends the necessary steps.
Microsoft announced in a statement
Microsoft released a statement and said that the Chatbot would help to analyze the cold and flu-like symptoms in the patients. As if everyone is being screened for the same then it makes a “bottleneck that threatens to overwhelm health systems coping with the crisis. The Chatbot is created to aid CDC in addressing the burgeoning queries of the patients and relieve the medical healthcare professional to handle the patients in critical condition.

Microsoft said that the Bot will be provided to the various providers and is now handling more than 1 million messages per day from members of the public who are concerned about COVID-19 infections—a number we expect to escalate quickly to meet growing needs
