It increases the load on the network, Netflix has come ahead and said that it would curb its traffic up to 25 percent to relieve the providers of the stress on the network.

Netflix, the largest streaming platform to cut traffic
Netflix is seemingly the largest and most viewed streaming platform that offers on-demand video content to users across the world. The company has already created a strategy to reduce traffic in Italy and Spain to 25 percent. The company said that it would do the same in the other countries of Europe within two days.
High-Resolution streams to be removed
The top broadband streams will be removed from the platform in each resolution category for the next month. Thus, users will see it reduces video quality. The content playback would be in lower resolutions, thus relieving the network from excessive load.
The company announced in a Statement
“Our goal is simple: to maintain the quality of service for our members while supporting ISPs who are facing an unprecedented strain on their networks,”
Netflix also said that the other networks would work on the standard procedures unless “until and unless they experience issues of their own.”
