Google’s Head of Culture and Human Relations Chief Eileen Naughton will be leaving the Company later this year as per an announcement by the Company. The VP pf People’s Operations is stepping down in the times when Google’s work culture is not in best of shape due to several high-level accusations on the top Google executives en in unethical sexual relationships or acts of sexual harassment at workplace.

As per theta reports, some of the top executives even received millions of dollars’ worth severance packages from the Company. It indeed did not go well with a lot of Google employees, and about 20.000 Google workers staged a walkout also.
Employee Culture at the Company going Through Bad Phase
A lot of Google employees have reportedly complained that Google has staged issues against them since they reported sexual harassment at the workplace. The employees even rebuked the Company for protecting itself and not the employees. The two most significant whistleblowers of the issues who organized the walkout left the Company.

Employee Retaliation for Top Executives Involved in Sexual harassment
Five employees were also fired for taking part in internal retaliation against Google, four of which had reported the issue to the National Labor Relations Board. Google is now under an investigation by the board for the problems reported. There have been quite many issues with Google employees in the recent past.
Naughton Reportedly Leaving for Newer Role
Google announces that Naughton will be staying with the Company in a different role, which is not sure as of now. Naughton said that she is quitting the role of HR chief to spend more time with family that stays in NYC. Since Google’s primary center is in California, she would not be able to work remotely being the Chief of People’s Operation and remain in New York City.

It is strange to accept that Google’s work culture is facing a lot of backlash in the present times, and the person responsible for handling the matters is resigning instead of staying at the position and fixing it. Recently Sundar Pichai became the CEO of Alphabet Inc, The Parent company of Google when Larry Page and Sergey Bin stepped down of Google.
