Tinder, one of the prominent dating apps is going to launch a panic button that will help the users to connect the dearest ones in an emergency. Apart from that, catfishing is also one of the major problems faced by the users and to overcome the same, Tinder will launch anti-catfishing together with the panic button. The duo features will help the users access the Tinder app efficiently.
The first region to get the benefit of a Panic button is the US and the expected release date is 28th January 2020 and after that, it is expected to launch globally.
The parent company of Tinder, i.e. Match Group, is planning to launch the same features on other apps that include PlentyOfFish, and many more.
An advancement of Noonlight Technology
The technology behind the Panic button is Noonlight, which will help the users to share their precise location in the case of an emergency. Also, the users will be able to save the information of the person whom he/she is going to date. So, this feature is quite useful as it helps the user to know about another person with whom he or she is going on a date.

A worrisome fact about Tinder is that many a time people come across a fraud while they access a fake profile to meet another person. So, to counter the same, Tinder is launching a photo verification feature. With this feature, the user will have to upload the real-time selfies to prove its real identity and once Tinder approves it, a blue checkmark icon will appear on the user’s profile stating that the account has been verified.
Hence, this safety feature will help the users to utilize the Tinder App more effectively. The technology behind the Photo verification method is the Artificial Intelligence that will eliminate the catfishing activity on Tinder.
