Mutability at the position of CEO in the Company Alphabet continues. It has been hardly one month since the last CEO of the company, Larry Page along with President Sergey Brin quit their respective positions. And now the Alphabet Chief Legal Officer David Drummond has reportedly decided to leave the company.
Drummond has said that following the retirement of Larry and Sergey he also wants to take leave and the reason behind this is he wants to give the opportunity to the young generation. Days are changing and the company is going to enter a new phase, Drummond, Alphabet Chief Legal Officer said to Bloomberg.
However, the Alphabet is yet to give any reason on this matter. The company stated that the Board of Directors of the Alphabet initiated an investigation on the cases against the executives of sexual misconduct. In the investigation, it was found that Alphabet Chief Legal Officer Drummond was having an extramarital affair with one of his employees, and he also has children from that relationship. But a few days ago he married another employee from the legal department of Google.
Drummond was one of the top executives of the Alphabet since the foundation of the company. He played a vital role in the growth of the company. It is the main reason that the committee overlooked the allegations against him. But it was high time and the company came under pressure when the news started getting the unwanted interest of people.
