The announcement broke a lot of hearts. A large number of followers of the Super Sassy meme cat were heartbroken by the post by the owner who said,
“On the morning of Sunday, December 1st, 2019, we lost the purest, kindest and most magical living force on our planet. BUB was cheerful and full of love laying in our bed with us Saturday night, but unexpectedly passed away peacefully in her sleep,”

The owner of the cat detailed every aspect of Lil Bub’s health and struggles on its website and social media accounts. In a lengthy post announcing the superstar cats death, he told the readers that,
“I have always been fully transparent about BUB’s health” Bridavsky has always shared with the followers that Bub has been struggling with Osteoporosis and Bone infection”.
