Danish fintech, Nordic API Gateway, has announced a partnership with Norwegian bank DNB in a bid to provide account aggregation service for the bank’s new mobile banking app.
Rune Mai, CEO of Nordic API Gateway, commented on the partnership, “We’re happy that DNB has chosen us to provide account aggregation for their new mobile app. As one of the most reliable and secure PSD2 infrastructure platforms, we believe it’s a clear advantage for DNB to use our API.”
“One of the reasons why DNB chose us is that our API offers a very broad coverage in the Nordics. We cover the vast majority of all Scandinavian banks, and as opposed to other API aggregators, we support access to both personal and business accounts, which means that our client can build solutions for anyone,” he added.
According to Rune Mai, PSD2 system is expected to bring about a significant change as customers will be allowed to keep a check on their own financial data.
Nordic API Gateway provides unified API access to business and personal accounts across all Nordic banks including Danske Bank
and Jyske Bank in Denmark, start-ups, retails and ERP providers.
Launched in 2018, Nordic API Gateway has been built on the foundation of Spiir, a Danish money app.
DNB is a Norwegian financial services group and offers a full range of financial services, including loans, savings, advisory services, insurance and pension products for retail and corporate customers.
