A devastating accident occurred on Tuesday evening in Uttar Pradesh’s Mau district when a speeding trailer truck collided with a motorcycle carrying a newlywed couple. Pawan Kumar Singh and his wife Rinki Singh were tragically killed instantly in the collision that took place around 5:45 PM near Garhwa Mor in the Haldharpur area.

The couple was traveling to Rinki’s maternal home in Pilkhi Varuna village when the speeding trailer truck struck their motorcycle on National Highway 34. The impact caused both riders to fall from their vehicle and sustain critical injuries. Despite immediate assistance from bystanders, both Pawan and Rinki were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Response and Investigation
Haldharpur Station House Officer Jagdish Vishwakarma confirmed that the trailer truck ran over the motorcycle, resulting in the immediate deaths of both individuals. Upon notification, local police promptly arrived at the accident site and arranged for the victims to be transported to the Community Health Centre in Jogapur, Ratanpura. Medical professionals at the facility officially declared the couple deceased upon arrival.
