The EU Delegation to Ukraine together with the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine will launch a technical assistance project worth EUR 3 million, which includes measures to improve road traffic safety.
Johannes Baur, Head of Operations Section: Economic Cooperation, Energy, Infrastructure and Environment, the EU Delegation to Ukraine, said this during a press conference at Ukrinform today, November 12.
“Together with the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, we will soon launch a technical assistance project worth EUR 3 million. And road safety will be an important component of this project,” Baur said.
He noted that the EU Delegation intended to continue the initiatives launched by the project “Modernization and improvement of road safety in Ukraine” and to cooperate with the Infrastructure Ministry and the specialized subcommittee of the Verkhovna Rada in introducing European experience in improving road safety in Ukraine.
