Siemens Healthineers and Relaymed partners to enable direct test result delivery of EHR systems in order to achieve greater work efficiency by reducing the errors caused by manual data input. A grand new alliance has been announced by Siemens Healthineers and Relaymed with both aiming at optimizing the workflow efficiencies and helping the physicians to meet the clinical and operational challenges.
New alliance between Siemens Healthineers and Relaymed!
Through point-of-care instruments, Siemens Healthineers and Relaymed is all set to eliminate the need of manual input on test results; thereby reducing the errors which were done during the manual input process before. They will give their users access to secured cloud based services wherein they can store and analyze the results at any given point of time.
Optimization of resources!
With the elimination of manual inputs in patient test results; there will be a huge reduction in human errors, resulting in better workflow efficiencies. Further, the additional costs and patient harm will also be reduced to a greater extent, which were earlier existed.
Senior Vice President of Point-of-Care Diagnostics at Siemens Healthineers Michael Sampson said in a public statement,
“Our exclusive agreement with Relaymed means an extension of our connectivity offerings for Siemens Healthineers point-of-care instruments to meet the needs of healthcare facilities burdened with excessive administrative tasks that interrupt patient care.”
A check on revenue loss!
With seamless integration of the Relaymed software into Siemens Healthineers technologies, there will a check on revenue loss. Since all the tests will be saved automatically into the concerned physician’s EHR system; so there will be a constant and easy check on unbilled tests, which could have resulted in revenue loss. Senior Director of Operations and Compliance Officer for MD Medical Group Christy Vedia said,
“We were finding our testing procedure to be time consuming and inefficient so we sought out a device connectivity solution. Since we implemented the service, we now have it live on 120 devices across 30 locations. We also find the data analytics tool incredibly useful as it has helped us to understand how we can cut down on reagent waste”
