Kaiser Permanente of Georgia, which has five locations in Cobb County, was named by the National Committee for Quality Assurance as being among the top 20 commercial health plans nationwide and remaining the highest ranked in the state for the 10th consecutive year.
Kaiser Permanente of Georgia climbed one spot in the past year, ranking 19th among more than 500 evaluated plans from across the country.

NCQA, managed care’s major accrediting body, evaluates health plans based on customer satisfaction, treatment and prevention. The data is analyzed and converted to scores from zero to 100. Kaiser Permanente of Georgia scored 87.5, ranking the plan 128 spots above any other private health plan in the state.

On a 1 to 5 scale, with 5 being the highest, Kaiser Permanente of Georgia earned a 5 in prevention, a 5 in treatment and a 4 in consumer experience. Top scores were received in the following categories:
- Satisfaction with health plan services;
- Preventive care for children and adolescents;
- Cancer screening (breast and colorectal);
- Postpartum care; Diabetes treatment;
- and Heart disease treatment.

Kaiser Permanente is the states largest nonprofit health plan, serving the health care needs of metro Atlanta residents for about 30 years. The health plan currently provides comprehensive health care services to more than 260,000 members through 30 medical facilities in a 28-county service area and a network of affiliated hospitals and physicians.
Kaiser Permanente’s Cobb County locations are 3640 Tramore Pointe Parkway in Austell; 2525 Cumberland Parkway SE in the Cumberland area; 750 TownPark Lane NW in Kennesaw; and 2505 Dallas Highway and 1205 Johnson Ferry Road, both in Marietta.
