Noble Health Alliance continued to build out its management team this week with the appointment of Patrick R. Young as executive chairman.
Young is a former Aetna (NYSE; AET) executive who most recently served as president of the managed-care company’s Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia markets.
Noble Health was formed last year by Abington Health, Aria Health and Einstein Healthcare Network as a vehicle to allow the independent health systems work together to build a clinically integrated provider network that will provide “highly coordinated care” and pursue population health contracts with insurers. Crozer-Keystone Health System joined the alliance later in the year. Together the members encompass 15 hospitals and more than 4,600 physicians and other providers that serve the southeastern Pennsylvania region.
In February, Lynda J. Mischel was named Noble Health’s president and CEO. She was previously chief development officer of Aria Health.
