CareCentrix Inc. of Hartford announced Tuesday that it has a renewed contract with Cigna Corp. of Bloomfield for five years, building on 20 years of working with the insurer.
CareCentrix will manage the delivery of home health services, such as nursing care and managing durable medical equipment in homes, for Cigna customers. Additionally, Cigna will continue to contract with the CareCentrix subsidiary Sleep Management Solutions, which includes the use of home sleep testing and treatment for obstructive sleep apnea.
“The renewal of our collaboration with CareCentrix ensures that Cigna’s customers will continue to have access to important home health care equipment and services that play a vital role in helping them live healthier lives,” Cigna’s senior vice president for network contracting, John Wray, said in a statement.
CareCentrix serves more than 23 million people with a network of about 7,400 home health care providers. Founded in 1996, CareCentrix became an independent company in 2008 when it was spun off from Gentiva Health Services Inc.
